Affected Models
Hunter is voluntarily recalling Hunter branded Devon Park, Astwood, Highland Hill, Kerrison, and Van Nuys light fixtures as specified below. No other lights in these collections are affected. The model number can be found on a label behind the light when removed from the wall. See the images of affected models below.

Hazard
The internal wiring in the affected lights may be damaged. If the installer failed to follow Hunter’s installation instructions and did not properly install the light fixture ground wire to the house ground wire, a shock hazard could be present. If the installer properly grounded the light fixture and the internal wiring is damaged, the circuit breaker can trip, and the light fixture will not operate. In either case, you should immediately stop using the recalled lighting product and contact Hunter to receive a refund.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lighting products and contact Hunter to receive a refund.
Instructions to Receive a Refund:
- E-mail us at recall@hunterfan.com with the following information:
- Model number
- Picture of the front of your light fixture
- Picture of the back of your light fixture with the wires cut. See the directions below for uninstalling the fixture and to see where to cut the wires.
- Picture of your receipt. If you cannot locate your receipt, email us the rest of the required information. We likely can process your refund request but may need to follow up with you if we have questions.
- First and last name
- Mailing address to receive the refund check
- If you do not have access to email, then you can call us at 1-866-326-2003 between 8 AM to 3 PM CT, Monday-Friday. You will be required to mail Hunter the information requested above.
- Refunds should be received within 4 weeks after Hunter processes your refund request.
- Please dispose of the affected light fixture according to your local trash disposal rules. Do not resell or give this fixture to anyone else.
Replacement Products
In 3-6 weeks we expect to have products you can purchase to replace most of the products that fall under the recall.

Directions for Uninstalling the Light Fixture and Where to Cut the Light Fixture Wires
- Refer to the instruction manual that came with your fixture to uninstall the product from the wall by reversing the installation instructions. This process will involve at least the following: disconnecting the power to your light fixture at the circuit breaker and the wall switch; carefully removing any glass shades and light bulbs; and removing any decorative cap nuts that secure the fixture to the mounting plate on the wall or ceiling. Remove the wire nuts connecting the fixture lead wires to the house supply wires and separate all wiring. Reinstall the wire nuts on the house supply wires until a new fixture is installed.
- Once the fixture has been removed, use wire strippers or other appropriate cutting device to cut the wires at the point where the wires exit the light fixture. See example images below for more details.
