Enabling your Fan Control Dimming Functionality

Your Hunter Fan’s dimming capability can be enabled or disabled using the wall control, remote control, or SIMPLEconnect APP. This change is usually required when switching to bulbs that are not compatible with your fan’s dimming function.
NOTE: In order for your light to have dimming capabilities, use only dimming LED or CFL light bulbs in your Hunter Fan.
Toggling between Dimming Modes for a ‘5’ Series Model Hunter Fan
Follow the instructions below based on the model number of your remote control to toggle between your fan’s light dimming and non-dimming functionality.:
Remote Model Numbers: K6300-01, K6731-01, and K6927-01
- Press and hold both the ‘LIGHT UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons for five seconds.
- Once the dimming feature is enabled, hold down the light button to dim.
Remote Model Numbers: K6266-01, K6266-02, K6266-03, K6019-01, K6019-02, K6019-03, and K5579-01
- Press and hold both the ‘FAN UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons for five seconds.
- Once the dimming feature is enabled, hold down the light button to dim.
Remote Model Numbers: K6018-01, K6017-01, K1530-01, K1132-01, K5324-01, K1403-01, K1403-02, K1133-01, K4938-01, K4938-02, K4938-03, K1131-01, K1131-02, K0474-01, K0474-02, K0474-03, K0474-04, K0474-05, K0474-06, K0472-01, and K0472-01
- Press and hold both the ‘FAN UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons for five seconds.
- Once the dimming feature is enabled, hold down the light button to dim.
Remote Model Numbers: K0471-01, K0471-02, K0470-01, and K0470-02
- Press and hold the ‘FAN OFF’ button. While still holding the ‘FAN OFF’ button, quickly press the ‘LIGHT’ button twice.
- Once the dimming feature is enabled, hold down the light button to dim.
Toggling between Dimming Modes for a ‘2’ Series Model Hunter Fan
If your Hunter Fan model number starts with a ‘2’, follow these step-by-step instructions to toggle between the dimming and non-dimming functionality:
- Turn the light off and then back on again.
- Power your fan off using the wall switch or circuit breaker.
- Remove the batteries from the handheld remote and change the Dip switches on the remote transmitter and receiver, ensuring they both match. (Not all receivers have Dip switches.)
- Restore power to fan and re-install batteries in the remote control
- Press and release the three High (3), Medium (2), and Low (1) buttons on the remote control at the same time. This step must be completed within 30 seconds.
- Check your fan is successfully paired by turning the fan and lights on and off with the remote control.
